COVID-19 relief – Collective action makes the world a better place

For people already living in crisis, COVID-19 is devastating. Especially in overpopulated and poorer settlements like slums, where hygiene standards often cannot be met. There is no access to disinfectants, washing machines, let alone - clean water. Under these conditions, the lack of face masks and proper sanitation of them accelerates the viral spread.

An alternative disinfection method for the reuse of face masks was needed. By using the energy of the sun, we have developed BoxMeo Celsius, a simple solution that allows everyone to hygienically reuse a face mask. The donated products allow the hygienic re-use of face masks in an environmentally friendly way. This is aimed at reducing the risk of indirect COVID-19 infection and decrease the viral spread.

Children in particular are the ones who suffer the most from the living conditions in India

There is often a lack of sufficient drinking water, food, electricity, hygiene and education. And thus, also no guarantee of hygienic protection against COVID-19. Our purpose is to help those children. Together with Siemens Switzerland and Siemens Caring Hands we have already donated 10000 BoxMeo Celsius Boxes and face masks to the suffering street children in India. The donation is distributed with our local partners of the help alliance in India who support these children. Instead of spending their time on the streets, there the children receive love, food, clothes, school uniforms and also private tutoring to support them on the way to graduation. The project provides the children with everything essential to give them a perspective in life.

The pandemic does not stop and further help is needed!

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the lives of the poor. Least equipped to fight the situation. These children and their families need our help. Together with your help and generosity we can provide them with the support they need to survive through this calamity.
